Ramat Gan  רמת גן 

Ramat Gan seen in photo above was first established as an Agricultural community in 1921 and today with a population of 150,000,  it has manifested itself into a Symbol of Israeli strength and power. It stands tall as an eastern Gate Way to the Tel Aviv Metropolis seen in the photo below. 

The Photos on the left and right show  the Moshe Aviv Tower. In year 2001  the Moshe Aviv Tower was completed in Ramat Gan making it at that time the tallest building in the Middle East and all of Europe.  It became evidence that the Jewish people are here to stay. This 69 story tower can now boast being home to the worlds largest Diamond exchange. 

The Moshe Aviv Tower holds 180,000 square meters of space which is mostly office space however the 12 upper floors are luxury condo units.

On the horizon for Ramat Gan will be the 70 story Trump Plaza Tower.

In Ramat Gan one can receive some of the best medical services in the world.

Found on the east side of Ramat Gan at Tel Hashomer is the spectacular Chaim Sheba Medical Center.

On the left is a map of the grounds of the Sheba Medical Center. As you can see there are many different facilities to the complex. The Sheba Medical Center is comprised of more then 120 departments and clinics. There are 1,700 beds and they handle 200,000 emergency visits a year'. It also contains what is described as an ultra modern maternity unit.

Ramat Gan also has 32 other medical facilities to serve its citizens.

The city has much to offer families with many cultural activities which include The Hayaholom Theater  ( also known as the Diamond Theater) which is  seen in photo below, the Ramat Gan Theater and the Russell Cultural Center. There are places for  music, there are museums and more. Today you are learning that Israel is a progressive first world nation.

Ramat Gan is home to the 50,000 seat National Station which is the largest stadium in Israel. It has hosted the FIFA World Cup qualifiers and is considered  a world class stadium. It is also home to the  Maccabi Tel Aviv soccer team.

However the  crown Jewel of Ramat Gan is the prestigious Bar-Ilan University. The large campus is seen in the photo below.

24,000 students are registered at Bar-Ilan. 18,000 of which are at the Ramat Gan campus.
